History Tonight at Yankee StadiumAs I am walking my dog Frankie this morning on our early morning walk, I am watching highlights of last nights Yankee Game. Aaron Judge hits his 60th home run of the season on a 3-1 fastball right down the middle. This ties Babe Ruth for second on the single season mark for home runs. Judge needs one more to tie Roger Maris for the record of 61 and two more to break the record.
Maris hit 61 home runs In 154 games in 1961 (the old regular season games played). The 2022 Yankees have played 147 games this year with Judge playing in 143 of them so he is well on his way to break the record in the same amount of games or less. The Yankees won last night keeping a 5.5 game lead over the Blue Jays,, on a walk-off grand slam by Giancarlo Stanton. Tonight the Yankees play the Pirates in the second game of their two game series at Yankee Stadium. Will we see history tonight? Not only Is Judge one home run away from tying the Yankee single season record, as of the moment he is leading the American League on his way to the Triple Crown with 60 Home Runs, 128 RBIs, and a batting average of .316. Yankee fans it is not to late to grab your seats for tonights game against the Pirates to potentially watch history.
